Science & Research

A laboratory approached RCOR with the goal of using Excel to combine sensor data with environmental data to aid in their analysis of the effects of pollution on stabled horses. The researchers had completed the experimental part of the project and were preparing their findings for publication in a scientific journal. However, their raw data was composed of unhelpfully formatted text files downloaded from their equipment, making it difficult to analyze. To address this issue, RCOR worked with the researchers to develop a solution that would allow them to process the raw data at the click of a button and automatically transfer it from its raw format to a new database. The researchers provided the desired output format, which broke out readings for each particle size into a separate column. To ensure data integrity and efficiency, RCOR fully automated the process, eliminating the need for manual data entry or the use of sheets containing formulas. Overall, the solution developed by RCOR has helped the laboratory streamline their analysis process and more easily prepare their findings for publication in a scientific journal.
